Viagra Effects

Viagra can cause mild or severe side effects; some of the mild side effects are; headaches, dizziness, flushing, or stomach upset. If any of these effects occur or persist, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Some of the adverse side effects of Viagra are rare, some of which are: sudden hearing loss, allergic reaction, low blood pressure. If you witness these negative side effects, stop using the drug and visit your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

Thorough medical history and physical examination are needed to properly diagnose erectile dysfunction (ED), determine underlying causes, and select appropriate treatment. The establishment of the patient's cardiovascular status is recommended before initiating any treatment for ED. Avoid co-administration with other agents used for the treatment of ED. Anatomical deformation of the penis, sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, leukemia (monitor closely). Lower doses are recommended in hepatic impairment, elderly, severe renal impairment, and concomitant use of potent CYP3A4 inhibitors.

The CYP3A4 principally mediates sildenafil metabolism. Therefore, inhibitors of these isoenzymes (such as ketoconazole, erythromycin, or cimetidine) may reduce sildenafil clearance, while inducers of the enzymes, such as rifampicin, will decrease plasma levels of sildenafil.
